During the installation of the server software on a hotel server, a menu is displayed with various menu options. The background graphics for this menu has naturally always had a hotel oriented theme. However, since the marine GUIs has become a large part of the business it was decided to make a marine oriented theme for the background graphics for that server software.

On several of the marine GUIs some shade of blue is used so it was natural to use blue as a background color, and a white/greyish contrasting color for text and icons.

The marine inspired icons of the ships was found in an online image databank and then changed to the correct color.
